Prof Dr Roland Eils
Prof Eils is the founding director of the BIH Digital Health Center at Charité ̶ Universitätsmedizin Berlin and the director of the Health Data Science unit at the Medical Faculty of Heidelberg University. He is a member of the Organizing Committee of the Human Cell Atlas initiative and the coordinator of the HiGHmed consortium. Since 2021 Prof Eils is also coordinating the HEALTH-X dataLOFT (Legitimierter, Offener und Föderierter Gesundheitsdatenraum in Gaia-X“) consortium. Prof Eils is working together with his group towards the delivery of significant contributions to the field of cancer genomics, single cell omics and systems biology. They are also pioneering the field of digital health with innovative developments and applications in the field of life sciences and clinical care.
