Prof Dr sc hum Christian Apfelbacher, PhD
Christian Apfelbacher is Chair of Epidemiology and Health Systems Research and Director of the Institute of Social Medicine and Health Systems Research, Medical Faculty of the Otto-von-Guericke University Magdeburg. His background is in public health, medical sociology and health services research. Key research interests include the (clinical) epidemiology of skin and allergic diseases, patient-reported outcome (PRO) measures, core outcome sets (COS) for research and practice, health literacy, patient involvement in research and evidence synthesis. He is spokesperson of the research group HELICAP (Health Literacy in Early Childhood Allergy Prevention), funded by the German research foundation.
